About Shedu

At Shedu, we believe the American tradesman is one of the last true builders of civilization.

Long before software companies, venture capitalists, and private equity firms began “disrupting” industries they did not understand, tradesmen were already building the backbone of America with skill, grit, and pride.

They still are.

That is why Shedu was built differently.

Shedu was built for tradesmen, by a tradesman — not by Silicon Valley executives, investor boards, or growth-at-all-costs tech companies looking to extract value from hardworking contractors.

  • We are not owned by Big Tech.
  • We are not controlled by venture capital.
  • And we believe contractors should always remain in control of their business, their customer relationships, and their data.

We built Shedu to help contractors protect what they have built — their reputation, their customers, their schedule, their time, and the opportunities they worked hard to earn.

Our software helps contractors respond to leads faster, book jobs through SMS, coordinate schedules, and avoid losing revenue to missed calls, delayed follow-ups, and disconnected systems. But technology is not the mission.

Protecting tradesmen is.

The name

The name “Shedu” comes from ancient Babylonian mythology. A Shedu was a guardian figure placed at the gates of temples and cities — a protector standing watch over what mattered most.

That symbolism defines our company.

In the same way those ancient guardians protected sacred places, Shedu exists to protect the modern titans of industry: the American tradesman.

We believe skilled trades are not secondary to innovation — they are innovation. They are the living embodiment of American ingenuity, craftsmanship, and self-reliance.

Every decision we make is filtered through one question:

Does this help protect and empower contractors?

If the answer is no, we do not do it.

Contractors deserve technology that works for them — not against them.

They deserve transparency, control, respect, and a company that understands the trades are not just another market to exploit.

We are building Shedu for the long haul.
